The Rotary Club of Horsham recognized the contributions of Rotarians and community members during its annual Charter Night Dinner, at Buona Via Restaurant in Horsham.
The ceremonial gavel was passed to President Joseph Gisondi, from Past President Richard Kircher. Following, Gisondi introduced his incoming Board of Directors.
Christopher L. Weinrich, Chairman of the Board of College Settlement, Horsham, accepted the Rotary’s Community Service Award, for outstanding service to the community, by a non-Rotarian.
Rotarian David Shaffer was honored with the Isaac “Ike” Jarrett Award, for his significant contributions toward the quality of life for others, and service to his club and community, over an extended period of time. The award, named in memory of Ike Jarrett, the founding father of The Rotary Club of Horsham, is the club’s most prestigious honor.
Shaffer also received his seventh Paul Harris Fellow award, a commendation named for the founder of Rotary International, and presented to Rotarians who contribute to Rotary’s mission both locally and internationally. Additional recipients of the Paul Harris Fellow were Rotarians Martha Green, Steven Fisher, Mary Dare and Dr. David McPhillips.
